Landon was just 12 days old when I met him for the first time. Just a few weeks before he was born, the unbelievable happened: his daddy passed away while serving his country in Afghanistan. It breaks my heart to think that Landon will never have the opportunity to meet his daddy, this side of heaven, but I am so thankful for men like him who willingly risk their lives for our safety.
It was truly a joy to capture this sweet baby’s first photographs.

Feel free, it's public domain as far as I know. If it turns out it isn't I'm more than happy to give the appropriate credit.
Is this a picture of a baby asleep next a photo of a father he is soon to meet for the first time;, or is this a picture of a baby asleep next to a photo of the father he will never know.
I think it's the former but I fear it is the latter.
Hi, Jeremy, I found your blog via facebook. Here's the story behind the photo.
Thank you very much for that and the link
I've edited the article to include the link and to credit Inara Studios
it's hard not to cry when you see photos like these and harder yet when i see ows photos where people are dancing and spitting on the flag. this lil boy's father made the ultimate sacrifice, a sacrifice that altered many lives, to give these protestors the very freedom of speech they enjoy. and yet, when they start slashing or threatening to slash programs on the Hill to balance the budget, congress never talks about curbing it's own excesses and payouts but always suggests cutting military benefits first. sorry to go on, but it's real hard not to.
thanks for the share---
